As you will see, the software makes it quick and easy for you or your staff to very quickly prepare survey questionnaires. Survey participants are notified by e-mail to complete their questionnaires online and are provided with a customized loin to access their questionnaire.

As a System Administrator, you are able to enter, edit or delete the full range of information maintained within the program. This includes information about the Respondents that will be providing information when you conduct your surveys, the benchmarks you will be collecting data on, and, in addition to the many pre-formatted questions about non-salary compensation you can choose from - we can customize your software to include additional non-salary compensation questions.

The software also includes analytical reports for staff to check on the accuracy and validity of the information received, and then, with literally one click, you can create a report that clearly compares your wage and salary compensation against that of others. As you continue to use the software, Trend Analysis Graphs provide information on individual Benchmarks and Respondents covering a five-year period.

So let’s begin:

Your initial set-up provided you with a unique password to use with your e-mail address to login to the software. You were also assigned a specific number of (seat) licenses. Managing the number of staff that can access the software at any given time is the responsibility of the system administrator and is accomplished through the system administrator homepage where you can activate and deactivate staff’s access to the program.

Initial steps in using this software are to define your Home Agency values. In other words, enter information about your agency's classes that will serve as Benchmarks and enter the contact information for the you will be contacting in your surveys. These participating agencies are referred to as respondents throughout the software. It is best practice to keep respondent contact information up-to-date and review it carefully as you embark on each wage and salary survey.

The Respondents and Benchmark Classes you enter here can then be quickly selected from menus when you configure a survey questionnaire. Questions about Non-Salary Compensation provided employees in each of the Benchmark Classes can also be selected at that time. Once you complete the initial set-up you only need to return to the System Administration Area occasionally. Staff can edit and update the information directly from the Survey pages.
